Angie Cabrera is the Vice President of Boricua Festival and co-chair person of Boricua Grove located in Prospect Park Brooklyn, New York. She presently serves on the boards of the Puerto Rican Family Institute; El Museo del Barrio; a founding member of the 100 Hispanic Women, Inc; the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Luminous Visions, the Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Val-Kill, New York; was appointed by New York State Governor Hugh L. Carey as Deputy Director of the Women's Division; by Governor Mario Cuomo as Assistant Deputy Commissioner of the Dept. of Economic Development' s Minority& Women's Business Division; was Deputy Director of Community Affairs and Public Relations at the National Puerto Rican Forum; active always in the Puerto Rican community served on the boards of Aspira; Puerto Rican Travelling Theatre; was National President of the National Conference of Puerto Rican Women just to name a few.
  She was also a founding member, Vice President of Capital Formation, an organization, the first of its kind to assist minority and women's business development. She was also Staff Assistant to the late Senator Robert F. Kenndy in his New York office. She also worked with the Economic Development Administration of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico on "Operation Bootstrap", in the Tourism Department and was appointed Secretary to the first elected Governor of Puerto Rico, the Honorable Luis Munoz Marin on his frequent visits to the States. She has received many honors to mention here but the most recent being honored by the Comptroller of the City of New York the Honorable William C. Thompson, Jr. at the City Council Chambers in City Hall.
